A day at MPAH

MPAH = Mount Pleasant Animal Hospital

Wad a day sia.. suay lo.. Take 2 hrs to go form my house to dere and abt $3-4 in travelling dere only!! Den most suay is, when I take de bus 315 dere.. I tio a newbie bus driver.. still nbeed a lao jiao teach at one side.. den he drive so slow and jerky and I am alrdy late!! In de end I was 15 mins late -.-

Spent abt $6+ in total for transport... -.- and de place so hard to find and get out, got lost trying to find it dats y late, and got lsot trying to get out of dat area to find de bus stop... -__-

Today 1st case was a cat tio urinary bladder obstruction. And cathetherisation need to be done on him.. Yup inserting a tube thru his penis de urethra up to de bladder... got put lubricant la.. and he is sedated cos he is too violent... De block is so bad dat we took abt 20 mins to succeed haha.. while constantly removing and reinserting...

Next case was dogs for dental.. 1 shih tzu, dunno de name.. and another dunno de breed, called Blur Blur haha.. both dogs needs to be anasthetised and Jac and I did de subcutaneous while Ron de senior vet tech did de catheterisation and intravenous

Blur Blur damn poor thing, cos we keep use him for positioning on how to use for X ray, of course nvr expose any on him la.. jus practise de positioning nia.. and he damn scared when we wan restrain him for lateral reccumbency haha...

Den came some dogs for ear cleaning and some for erm.. nail clipping and so on.. and dere was dis particular dog, I call Horse, cos he is like a stallion la! Keep like wan jump abt diff to tame to cut nails la!! Luckily he was muzzled.. hahah.. and hor each time I bring de dog back to de owner, I cun help but giggle on how de owner do not noe wadeva happened inside =x HAHAHA Well not as if we abuse them inside rite.. jus dat we were more firm to them inside.. but I assure all of u, we are still gentle while doing dat =) Come on, we're Vet Sci students leh!! We learn to do handling and restrain where de least pain will be inflicted on de animals leh! haha!!

Den dere was dis Westie for skin scrapping.. wah lao lo.. de Westie so many scars.... and wounds on de skin... and well, cytology shows and confirmed he is infected with Demodex =(

Den went for break at 12 - 2.. well 2.10... cos when we finish lunchg, it was 12.30, so Jac and I went amk hub, shun bian go see de Keychain I weanted which js say have.. stupid lo.. 1pm den we took until de bus 76, but suay suay, de bus like machiam going breakdown.. took 30 mins to travel abt erm 7-9 stops? Which could be done in 15 mins.. and I bet u ask a grandma walk outside will walk faster den de bus la! And sadly.. nope dun have de keychain I wan, Js see wrongly.. dat one is maplestory mushroom, not super mario de toadstool haha...

So went back at 2.10 to do de laundry, hang de towels out, clean toilet, clean de cage, haha yup sai gang, while waiting for de animal to be x -rayed... but nvr came.. -_-

And a few mroe cases and interactions with those damn cute animals!! How I wish I have 1 too.. Oh dere was dis jack russell, Think sth wrong with anal gland, so have to palpate de secretion out and its Damn smelly.. Heng I only do restrain =p Cos I firm enuff not like Jac!! RAWR!! She restrain until de animal can struggle out and scratch me haha!! Dat Horse la!! SO wild and rowdy lo!! LOLX

Den a Schnauzer for urine test, and yup, stuff a tube from de penis thru de urethra, and boy, he was howling and whining like mad la.. Imagine a yakult straw go in ur penis ... of course de tube dat go into de dog not so big la.. but abt same proportion...

On my way back, bought a chain to hold my ring and use as necklace =D

So Dat concluded my MPAH trip and going back dere on Tues for another long long day...
